Quantum science shows that each of us is a biomagnetic field, and that each of us is an integral part of the wider universal electro-magnetic field. Quantum science also demonstrates that everything, every person, every subatomic particle, is connected in a time-space continuum. In Quantum science this is known as non-locality.

Quantum science therefore shows us that we can connect with anyone or anything, anywhere in the universe - and what determines that connection is our focus of attention, our consciousness.

So while Cranio-Sacral Integration is very clearly working with the anatomy and physiology of the physical body, we can also do this at a distance. Cranio-Sacral Therapists from around the world are developing this valuable skill through our online courses in Distant Cranio-Sacral Therapy, in order to help others - particularly at this difficult time of isolation.

The Course - Level 1:

The courses are presented by five tutors from the College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy (CCST) all of whom have substantial experience in working with Distant CST, and each of whom will present one episode, providing a balance of continuity and individuality.

Day 1. Thomas Attlee – Introduction and Overview - How to work with Distant Cranio-Sacral Therapy

Day 2. Lizette Villaverde – Quantum Entanglement and other Foundations of Research

Day 3. Octavia Kenny – Silent Witness: Stillness and the System

Day 4. Michael Galvin – Working with Birth, Babies, Children and Mothers. Exploring the wider field of Family Dynamics, Transgenerational, and Epigenetic influences.

Day 5. Samantha Lowi – Moving forward with confidence and resourcing ourselves

It will be a very practical course, with practical sessions on each of the five evenings.

The course will be presented on Zoom, which is very easy to use. You will be sent a Zoom link before each session.

Course notes and a recorded meditation will be provided

The course content will cover:

  • how does it work?
  • the Quantum science which underlies Distant CST (and underlies all CST)
  • non-locality
  • is it effective? – yes, definitely
  • is it still Cranio-Sacral Therapy? – yes, definitely
  • what questions does it bring up in relation to safe and responsible management of distant sessions?
  • what are the most effective ways to work with Distant CST?
  • practical application

All these questions and more will be answered.

The courses are open to Cranio-Sacral Therapists from all backgrounds. Previous courses have included Cranio-Sacral Therapists from many different trainings – Integrated Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Biodynamic, Upledger, etc – all of whom have expressed huge appreciation of the depth and effectiveness of these Distant CST courses, as well as the clarity and comprehensive nature of the teaching. It has also been a pleasure to welcome participants from all over the world – USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Taiwan, etc, and most European countries.

Support during the current pandemic – and at any time:

During the current Coronavirus pandemic, with widespread isolation, uncertainty, insecurity, anxiety, and many other difficulties, we wish to support each other as much as possible.

As Integrated Cranio-Sacral Therapists, we have the very valuable resource of Distant Cranio-Sacral Therapy to enable highly effective and much needed support during this time of social distancing.

It is also a very valuable resource at any time in day-to-day practice, and is an integral part of our curriculum at the College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy. It is particularly helpful for treating babies and children, for those who are house-bound or who have limited mobility and are unable to visit a clinic, for accidents, illness or trauma while abroad without direct access to a therapist, for supporting patients between hands-on sessions, etc.

We also find that the insights gained from working with Distant CST provide very valuable changes in perception and transformative skills which enhance direct hands-on CST, enabling therapists to engage more profoundly and more effectively.

Participants on these courses constantly express amazement at the profound effectiveness of Distant CST, at how easy it is to engage with the Cranio-Sacral process through distant work, at how it feels just like a hands-on session – both giving and receiving, at how it seems more powerful and profound than hands-on CST, and how it brings significant insights into our perception of CST in general, thereby enhancing our hands on sessions.

Dear Thomas

Thank you to you and the tutors for making this possible. It’s an amazing opportunity to do distant CST within our circumstances. I was astounded how clear the 3D structures were in my minds-eye. I felt I was inside the body travelling in full colour through the structures that invited me there. It was as if I was watching an anatomy video but I was present and treating at the same time.

The session was very powerful. I really liked your meditation process. Would it be possible to get a copy in order to find the depth when practising.

Once again thank you for your amazing experience and time.

Warm wishes

Dear Thomas,

I really enjoyed the session. I thought there was a perfect balance of information and practical work. I was amazed at how clearly I could sense the connection and information coming through. I am really excited to work energetically in this way! Really looking forward to practising more.

Hello CCST

First I want to share that this is my favorite class I have ever taken.  I absolutely love it. I'm in the US and I'm loving being in the European field, I love what it’s opening for me, I love Thomas and all the tutors.  So I am very very grateful.

Thank you and can’t wait to be with you again.

Dear Thomas,

Thank you very much for an excellent beginning to this training. I was completely surprised how easily I was able to feel things in the giving and the receiving. I am very excited.

I feel that the delivery of the lecture was first class. I found your meditation for grounding to be excellent and was wondering if you would consider providing a recording of that meditation so that we might be able to use it in preparing for our practice sessions.

Dear Thomas

This course is pure joy. I particularly liked your’s and Lizette’s preparatory meditations; it felt like being in the same room with you.

Thank you very much.

When receiving, I definitely had the sense that I had received a session, and my partner said the same.

My experience with giving was that I definitely felt a relational field right from the beginning, and it happened so quickly, I was really surprised. It was strong and it was fast, midline to midline, field to field. And I felt a holistic shift come on just like that.

I was feeling a very strong fluid tide, much stronger in the inhalation phase than exhalation. After a few cycles, it deepened pretty quickly so I could feel what was happening more clearly. But even in those first few cycles of mid tide, I was picking up where there was density, where there was some holding. And I just held it really wide in Long Tide. It went very deep, very quickly - very interesting. I was astounded at how similar it was to a hands-on session. It was a really good experience.

Hello Thomas,

Many thanks to you and your team for organising this course and holding a safe space for us all to be curious and explore. It has confirmed to me that working with our skill set in this way is indeed possible and, in many situations, more profound. I am also sitting with the similarities of this and the work of Peter Levine and his modality Somatic Experiencing. It is great to be able to integrate all our knowledge further.

Many thanks.

Warm regards

Hi Thomas and Tutors

I really want to thank Octavia for her presentation.  It was beautiful.  It drew together what we have been learning so far, beautifully. For me it’s brought in the safety to what we are doing. Octavia has such a beautiful grounding presence, I could feel her holding and experience.

Thanks too for the comprehensive notes.

Dear Thomas

I very much enjoyed Thursday’s session and was genuinely taken aback by how powerful the work was.

Dear Thomas

Your guided meditation was wonderful and today's one as well, would it be possible to have them recorded?

Dear Thomas,

I liked the way you spoke and framed the work of cranio. It felt very accessible,

Thank you

It was another ‘glorious’ session on Tuesday evening presented by an undoubtedly talented team.

Best wishes

Dear Thomas

Many thanks for this. I'm loving the course - the 'lectures' and the practice - blowing the mind!

Warm wishes

Distant Cranio-Sacral Therapy and CSTA guidelines:

As you may be aware, the Craniosacral Therapy Association (CSTA) has issued some guidelines with regard to Distant Cranio-Sacral Therapy. We take careful note of these guidelines and recommendations, and we encourage you also to take careful note.

The CSTA guidelines recommend that you ’think carefully’ and that you ‘consider the boundary and ethical implications’ of working distantly. We are very much in agreement with this and we also strongly encourage you to do this.

We also trust that you have noted that it is up to each practitioner to check their own insurance position. We have contacted our insurers Balens Ltd and they have assured us that their policies cover practitioners for distant work.

Our course on Distant CST will be issuing clear guidelines regarding any issues specific to Distant CST in relation to maintaining ethical, responsible and professional practice and appropriate patient care. It is a postgraduate course open only to qualified Cranio-Sacral Therapists, and expects the same standards of ethical and professional integrity as any other Cranio-Sacral work.

The course is firmly founded in Cranio-Sacral principles, and is clearly distinct from any other Healing modality. It is also firmly founded in quantum science and an up-to-date, progressive understanding of modern scientific principles. It is also firmly grounded in Anatomy and Physiology and the physical body.

This course provides valuable skills, which are an integral part of day-to-day Cranio-Sacral practice, and are already used by many Cranio-Sacral Therapists and CSTA members.
