Day 1 Thomas Attlee
Trauma
Trauma is at the root of most ill health. It is a physiological process involving the amygdala and hippocampus, leading to physiological overwhelm, in which fight and flight, or freeze patterns, become deeply entrenched in the system, affecting everything about us – perception, response, reaction, behaviour, our very nature. Everyone is affected by trauma to a greater or lesser extent.
Trauma needs healing and integration at a profound level - not just physical therapy, not just psychotherapy - but the release of shock and trauma at the deepest level, and re-integration of the whole person. This process can be enhanced through an awareness of molecular levels, subatomic levels, and Quantum levels of being.
Cranio-Sacral Integration is exceptional in its profound resolution of trauma at the deepest level. We will be exploring how we can most effectively enable this at a distance, with an understanding of the crucial significance of resources and grounding.
Day 2 Lizette Villaverde
Time Fulcrums and your Inner Child
Transcending space and time has been a prevalent theme when it comes to exploring integrative distance work. Connecting with time fulcrums, in particular those relating to pre-birth, infancy, and childhood can be an incredibly powerful tool to bring healing, understanding, and resolution to the core of our "onion layers".
Day 3 Octavia Kenny
Messages from the body
Human beings are perhaps unique in the animal kingdom in that we can deceive not only others, but ourselves. We can use our minds, consciously or unconsciously, to override our emotions. However, there is a price to pay for our lack of authenticity. Even though we may be suppressing our emotions with the best of intentions, our psycho-neuro-endocrine system becomes confused by mixed messages and starts to malfunction in various ways. This is the point at which clients may seek help. As craniosacral therapists we can help temporarily by enabling the nervous system to rebalance, but unless the messages from the body are received and understood it is very likely that they will come back, with the same issues. How can we take clients from ongoing maintenance to a reconditioned state? We can learn the system’s language and help them to interpret and process the messages from the body, while supporting them in making lifestyle changes which are based on returning to wholeness and integrity.
During this session we will look at dialoguing with our clients, inviting them to hear the underlying messages in fulcrums, symptoms, and conditions, while holding a grounded and resourced space for the potential of health.
Day 4 Michael Galvin
Perception and Verbalisation
This session will be an exploration of the creative process of verbalisation as a tool for downloading and refining information from the field about our patient's system. Through moment to moment verbalised acknowledgement, we can provide a platform where the information that we perceive can land and take shape, thereby providing a channel through which unmet patterns in our client's system can come forward for resolution. This will be an opportunity to explore 'turning on the tap' of intuitive engagement at a distance, bypassing the doubting mind and enhancing and refining perceptual flow.
Day 5 Samantha Lowi
Polyvagal Theory
We will be exploring how a deepened and embodied understanding of Polyvagal Theory can support our distant CSI clients. We will take a look at some of the myriad ways trauma can manifest in our systems and how we can apply our felt sense of polyvagal theory to our distant CSI practice. We will use practical work and guided meditation to help us embody the theory.
We look forward to seeing you on the course.
Best wishes
